What does a relocation agent do?

The services provided by relocation agents can vary, but typically the main objective is to find suitable properties that fits the Client’s criteria, arrange viewings and provide reports, negotiating the rent or purchase price on the Client’s chosen property, and assisting with tenancy agreements or sales contract.

I could do this myself so why do I need Hakka Properties?

If you are not in the UK, making viewings with local estate agents is almost impossible.

How much does it cost?

There is a fixed onboarding fee to secure the services of one of our agents who will start the search as soon as your specific requirements have been established. The completion fees are entirely transparent and will depend on the service you have selected with us. Completion fees will be payable upon key handover or exchange of contract as applicable. How do you give me updates when I am in HK?

The different time zone is not a barrier for our regular updates and progress reporting. Our agent will set up dedicated Whatsapp / WeChat group and agree the best time to call or message in advance. For larger or legal documentation, this will be transmitted through electronic mail.

Do I get unlimited searches for my onboarding fee?

Unfortunately, not. The fees are for a maximum of five (5) in person property inspections and reports. If a suitable property is still not found within this quota, we will come to a mutually acceptable arrangement with the Client for the ongoing services. However, we are pleased to advise to date that we have never had to have this difficult conversation with any of our clients, such is the level of detail & effort we put into matching the properties with our clients’ requirements – be that the neighbourhood requested, proximity to amenities, transportation and schools, or budget.

What do you do with my personal information?

We are GDPR and AML compliant. Please refer to our privacy policy on the website.

We do not share your data with third parties organisation unless authorised or required by UK legislation. 

Can Hakka Properties help get my children in to outstanding schools?

Hakka Properties do not provide a school consultancy service however we are happy to share our personal experiences and local knowledge with regards school selection and admissions.

You should be aware that even living within the catchment of a good or outstanding school does not guarantee automatic entry.

If we need to furnish a rental property before we arrive in the UK can you help?

Yes, this is one of the bolt-on services we can provide. You choose the items and arrange a date and we will be in the property to receive the goods. For a small additional charge we can also arrange for any flat pack items to be assembled ready for your arrival.

Is there a meet & greet service at the airport?

Yes, we can arrange to meet you & your family at Arrivals and hand over the keys. Through our trusted partners we can also pre-book a chauffeured car or mini-bus to take you to your rental or final destination. 

Once you have found us a property is that the end of the contract, or can you provide ongoing assistance?

We understand how daunting it can be moving to a new country and will be on hand to answer any queries or concerns you may have once you have arrived. Rest assured we will always be available to assist where we can. As a testament to the outstanding customer care we provide much of the new business we enjoy is now through referrals / personal recommendations from our current and previous clients.
